Here's what happens during the LASIK treatment >>
The LASIK operation is generally found to be almost painless by virtually all patients, and is performed as outpatient surgery. The goal is to sculpt the cornea with the laser in such a way that the light rays concentrate exactly on the retina as in eyes with perfect vision. The change in the focal point is achieved by the finest ablation of the middle layer of the cornea. The expected result can be estimated exactly beforehand using the results of the ophthalmological examination.
