Farsightedness (hyperopia)

What is hyperopia?

Far-sighted people see things that are close by out of focus, and with increasing age, distant objects also become fuzzy. Here, the eye is too short and the focus is on a plane behind the retina. To see sharply, the focus must be shifted forwards by artificial convex lenses. The corrective value for this condition is measured in positive diopters, for example: +2.25 dpt.
